I've got a friend that is visiting Santo Domingo in a few days. The last couple of times he visited there, he tried, but couldn't find the Bermudez Aniversario or the Bermudez Don Armando rums. Any idea where he could find them and how much they cost? Thanks!

I think I saw it last week at Supermercado Nacional in Arroyo Hondo. I'm not familiar with Bermudez brand or rum in general, but I did notice that premium bottles of each brand varied between 1,500 and 2,200 pesos. Brugal 1888, etc.

Yeah, I had the Bermudez Anejo, thought it was pretty good. I had heard that the Aniversario and the Don Armando were fantastic, and reasonably priced.

I USED to drink "Bermudez" when I first came here.
Then it was "Barcelo"
No More!
Tell him to try "Brugal 1888", or "Brugal XV".
Or "Brugal Blanco" if you are going to mix it with something.
"Brugal Blanco" makes "Mojitos" to die for!!!!
Now You KNOW!!!!

Brugal is pretty good, but we can get it here. I've wanted to try the Brugal 1888, but it's like $50 here, so I haven't pulled the trigger on it. I actually have a bottle of Barcelo Imperial right now, got it in Miami, it's a solid one. I usually just drink my rum with a cube of ice.
