Weather in October

I am considering another visit in October. Is it still rainy? Any cooler? My time would probably be spent in Santo Domingo and the north coast. Thanks.

Rain has very much stopped. Still rains, but only once or twice a week and for a really short time. Cooler? I think the hell is soon ending, the summer is coming soon, so no, it's still too damn hot if you ask me.

October is one of the nicest months of the year in the DR...

december and january are nice months while the temperature drops considerably. October is still hot, sometimes VERY hot.

Gas, On the north coast, October is the 9th rainiest month of the year based on a 6 year average. January is the 10th and December the 11th rainiest month of the year . (1 is the driest)

This is based on rain gauge measurements going back for the last 6 years.

October is always little hotter in DR than the upcoming months. It rains in first half of month and then it become pleasant place for visitors. The looks at that time which DR gives are incredible. The whole city looks as it is washed.
