From today's Sosua News:

The 23 years old beauty, hailing from Sos?a, Paloma Massiel Almonte Reynoso, was recently elected 'Miss Turismo Dominicana 2013'. The election took place at the Museum of Modern Art in the capital Santo Domingo. Paloma Almonte is a graduate of the University of Santo Domingo in the studies Diplomacy and International Relations and also speaks fluently English and French. The election of a resident of Sos?a is a great honor for Sos?a. Paloma Almonte will represent the Dominican Republic during the Miss Internacional election to be held in Germany in November.

Did you read this lady's resume? She maybe 25, and more educated than most. She's not exactly headlining in some bordello.

One of the key components in feminism (which gets missed all too often) is choice. Nobody held a gun to her head, and I don't hear you complaining when men are treated in the same fashion through their sporting endeavors.

Leave the politics back at home, stop the howling (lol) and just wish the lady well. It just ain't that complicated....

Wow tough crowd. But seriously, at least we have moved beyond the Boca Chica pool party video blog, where evidently there as here, we are expected to get excited about the best the DR has to offer.
In that case posters raved about the pool chicas...

Seriously be it skanky (and the near butt ugly pool hoes), or Legit contest beauties, I have befriended far better looking (and no doubt better educated in the case of miss tourism) 20 something's here. Like all things tourism here...the DR sits on a
Global gold mine of resources, historical, people, and playas...and continues to put forth that solid mediocre effort.

Bottom line, pretty girl, but hardly worth writing home (or leaving home) about. And too bad , as those women do exist.
chances are most of us know one or two.

you guys need to stop messing with those cheap haitian girls. she is beautiful. of course she moved away from sosua at an early age (probably before the calypso was a good hotel) :ermm:
