seem like all DR wireless carriers agreed to keep the termination charges high up, so the originating calling carrier can only drop the the cost so much, to a certain point

they may claim that their investment has to be recoverd, BS

or they may say, dominicans like to talk too much and may create network congestion

for that i have proposed the following:

let them talk all they want BUT the moment congestion is inminent, beep and cut off the calls over 5 minutes, starting by the oldest call

the typical us$0.10 per minute is a ripoff and is no good for DR business in general, gov should investigate, never heard of any action in that regard, people dont seem to complaint, or dont know any better

Every so often we get someone like you who is new here and telling the world how it should be run. They are them and it is their country Claro and Orange know how to battle it between themselves, and you are not in a position to guide them with your higher Yankee wisdom.

how is your post helping anyone here?

what are you trying to acomplish?

here are some of DR1 politics

"1. While debate and discussion is fine, we will delete any post that is rude, insulting, contains a personal attack or is inflammatory.

2. Posters should post in a way that is respectful to other users.

3. Please stay in line with the topic being discussed..."

"No personal attacks: If you believe that the other person's ideas are wrong say so, and give your reasoning for your belief, but do not attack the poster, the poster's mom, wife, daughter, country, looks or anything of the sort.'

"There's a sort of Gresham's Law of trolls: trolls are willing to use a forum with a lot of thoughtful people in it, but thoughtful people aren't willing to use a forum with a lot of trolls in it. Which means that once trolling takes hold, it tends to become the dominant culture."
