Hi all.

I am looking into shipping goods from dr such as the cigars and non perishable canned goods. If the cigars are allowed is a box of 20 ok. I know there's fed ex, ups, inposdom (ems) and then the private couriers.

Which one is more reliable and give me the least issues getting to the states.
Do I send them as gifts or food items or which one.

I do not believe that you are allowed to ship cigars out of the DR to the states. DR customs will confiscate them.

A friend in the cigar business tried to ship me some cigars .

DR to NY .

WHAT A NIGHTMARE .

Customs , permits , pay to ship them back .

No import license , wouldn't waste my time .

Best of luck.

Dang, i need an import license just to get cigars. What about canned goods, do i need a permit for that too? Seems like dr customs is hassle to deal with. So I imagine i cant have health supplements sent either...
