Santo Domingo.- Former National District DA, Guillermo Moreno on Wednesday began a fast of three days to protest at the Supreme Court?s refusal to hear the money laundering charges he filed against former president Leonel Fern?ndez and the NGO, Funglode.

"Guillermo Moreno has deemed it necessary to open a space for reflection on the lessons which leaves the High Court decision, as well as to meditate on what we are doing as a nation in these circumstances which we currently live under," says a document from the Al-Pais party, handed to reporters at the parish at the sector of Cristo Rey, where Moreno is fasting.

Sitting in a rocking chair, the former presidential candidate occupied a corner of the church, reading a book in silence.

The document adds that Moreno, whose become Fernandez?s leading detractor, will be fasting until 10am Friday.

Believe me! this country is doomed! CORRUPTION runs from the HIGHEST authority of the land. DRUGS run this society. Therefore, there is no future, nothing. Soon, if DEA does not take things seriously, MEXICO will be history, in the DRUG BUSINESS. The thing about the DR CASE, is the fact that the AGENCY, that is supposed to fight drugs, is the one running the business.

Maybe, the high court is scared of de-nationalizing fernandez!

not even one day passes that DEA does not intercept drugs from DR! NO LIFE IN THIS COUNTRY. I can barely keep up with news about drugs.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seized Monday 125 pounds (56.7 kilos) of cocaine and 5 pounds (2.2 kilos) of heroin during two separate incidents in San Juan and Mayaguez.

During the inspection of containers arriving on board the maritime vessel M/V Hansa Regensburg from Caucedo, Dominican Republic, CBP officers selected a container for secondary scrutiny. Inside CBP officers found two bags, containing brick shaped size objects that later tested positive for cocaine and heroin, respectively. The estimated value of the seized cocaine is US$1,240,800 and the heroin is US$192,500.

That same day at the Mayaguez Seaport, CBP officers along with federal and local law enforcement partners performed a routine boarding of the M/V AIVIK 1, which arrived from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. During the inspection, they discovered several plastic wrapped packages, which when probed tested positive to the properties of cocaine. The contraband weighed approximately 9 pounds (4.2 kilos) with an estimated street value of US$99,000.

“Smuggling organizations try to conceal their loads by any means possible and use many venues to avoid detection from law enforcement,” stated Marcelino Borges, CBP Director of Field Operations in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. “Our multi-agency law enforcement efforts are effective in the goal of deterring these smuggling attempts.”

These interdictions are part of a multi-agency law enforcement effort in support of the Caribbean Border Interagency Group’s (CBIG) Operation Caribbean Guard (OCG). Thru the establishment of the OCG Unified Command, DHS agencies, the Puerto Rico Police Department (PRPD), and the US Attorney’s Office have been able to optimize agencies’ resources by joining efforts and serving as a force-multiplier to prevent, detect, and interdict the entry of illegal migrants, weapons and narcotics in the Caribbean.

While anti-terrorism is the primary mission of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the inspection process at the ports of entry associated with this mission results in impressive numbers of enforcement actions in all categories.

I don't trust LF one bit. I just trust this other guy even less. He's a phony. He's just mad he and her corrupt wife haven't got a chance to be president. His wife even had two high positions in LF's government at the same time, which was illegal. He didn't protest back then, obviously.

Man, get off the US propaganda Kool-Aid. DEA is the biggest drug dealer there is.
And show me a country that does not fit your description above, and I will show you a country were people drink too much kool-aid.
