Does anyone know if it is possible to get a Chinese visa in the Dominican Republic.
I saw some posts from 2009 but those numbers do not exist any more.
Thanks, Terry

Are you a US citizen, DR citizen or other? You probably need to go to your consulate and ask them that question.

I'm a British citizen living here and need to go to China. Tried to get one from the US but no joy.

I just phoned the number and it is the Taiwan embassy. Unfortunately they do not like the Chinese so no luck there.
Any more ideas anyone??

My wife went two years ago. She went to the Chinese Trade Authourity, Republic of China in S.D. You need two full pages, side by side for the visa stamp. Not easy to work with but she got it done.

She does not remember the address and I can not find on Google.
Try calling your embassy to see if they know,

We know a good immigration atty. in S.D. that could help you, but he does charge. Let me know if you want his number and make an appointment.

They don't have an embassy in the D.R. The Chinese Trade Authority for the Peoples Republic of China has an office that can give you the papers to fill out, collect the fee and stamp your passport.

That sounds right dv8. I figured that with a little information you'd find it. :)

Pica pollo, good for info on China, so I was wrong, they do have a purpose!

Watch out for the PC police on here, talking about Pica Pollo and Chinese that way could be construed as mildly racist.

Waiting for the OP to get back to us. BIG difference with the OP "needing to go" for business or tourist.

I have NO idea what Smart above is talking about and don't care.

Let's see IF the OP responds and perhaps those that HAVE done this can help.

Good Job dv8 and I just Knew that you would find the answer. I have conflicting images of you. One we will not discuss, roars me. The other is a Bulldog that will not let go until.... the end solution has been found. :)

Try that. It is late now for me to confirm.
Many years ago (2007) I got a visa at the commercial office in Santo Domingo. At the time they were located near Av. Nunez de Caceres, but could have moved.
They should continue to have an office. It was an easy procedure.

ah... just found the office I went to:

Oficina de Negocios China (Continental) (809) 566-8430
Calle Repobalci?n Forestal #7 Edif. Don Samuel, El Mill?n
Santo Domingo Rep. Dom.

Will call tomorrow to see which is right.

Look like the same as dv8 posted but with a different phone number.

Easy procedure will differ with if on invited business, going on business or tourist.

Nice that we have some well traveled people here to help.

We just need the OP to get back to use. LOL
