For the second consecutive year, the province of Puerto Plata sets up a Festival at the Town Hall Square (Plaza la Independencia). The festivities for the promotion of the province takes place from Friday November 15 to Sunday 17 November. There will be exhibitions, dance, painting, drawing and singing demonstrations. In addition there are also performances by famous folk dance and music groups. Both at day time as well as in the evening there will take place many activities. Among others there are stalls for the municipalities of the province to promote their village or town. Sos?a will also be present with a booth where various artists and organizations will hold exhibitions. This evening, prior to the Festival, a crafts market opens in the cultural center (Casa de Cultura).
Here will be demonstrated crafts from throughout the province including the preparation of gemstones Larimar and Amber .
