The UMP/TURISOPP Puerto Plata Festival was excellent the last 3 days.
The 10 or so communities participating all had a unique presence.
That's the idea. So much better than last year. The communities there
may be actually be coming into their own. Tons of local organic and local
producers showing their stuff.
Some really nice exhibitions, products, food, music, etc.
Really good to see. From locally grown cacao to coffee to fruits and veggies and
wines and the whole gamut, and some real creations to show.
Thank you JICA. The Japanese know the way, and hopefully the Puerto Platenhos will
keep the vision alive.
