Default Getting off cruise in Samana

Hypothetically, one takes a 9 day cruise from NY on 12/14, On day 6, 12/20 can you get off the ship in Samana and not return to NY on the ship? If yes, since its Christmas can Dominicans bring in $3000 worth of gifts each? Maybe even a 55 inch tv?

I don't believe that the cruise lines would allow you that option. In addition, the ship is not anchored next to a dock. It is in the middle of Samana Bay and passengers are brought to shore in a small boat. This thought of yours will not work. You would have better luck going to PR and taking the ferry to Santo Domingo along with your purchases.

it's not "each". it's one member in the family. so if someone travels with wife and 3 kids they can only bring 3,000 dollars worth.
