Business License

I have been an investment advisor for about 30 years and am thinking of relocating to DR.

Do you need license to open investment advisory business there?
Do you pay taxes on income derived from non-Dominicans?
If licenses are necessary, can someone direct me to a qualified attorney (mutually exclusive?).

Steve, it all depends on how you intend setting yourself up - a company structure would be adviseable, but not essential.

If you are coming to the North Coast, e-mail me direct with your thoughts & tell me what you know of the DR investment system. I have been doing some investments here for 5 years so know a little of who, what & where!!

South coast? I have NO contacts down there although I am sure the "System" is pretty much the same as up here.
