NYE in Cabarete

Hi
Anyone knows how is it? I mean, is it possible to go there having a regular dinner and then party on the beach or all restaurants do a nye menu and need reservation? We are three friends and just want to party :)
Also, is it like the semana santa with all the stands with different music or is just the regular bars doing parties?

Cabarete is, as the italians would say, a 'casino'….that is, a real mess.
I can't say i really enjoy it much but if its your first one then maybe you will find it fun.
Most restos do a set meal and in my experience, these are largely to be avoided!
Im sure there are some normal rests open but not sure which.

Last year i went to Sosua on NYE and it was blissfully quiet :)
