We are considering a resort in this part of Punta Cana. We have previously vacationed in Punta Cana but further north at the Barcelo bavaro beach resort. Is this area as nice? What is the beach like, is the ocean calm or rough? Are there any villages, resaturants, little bars in the area in case one wants to escape the resort? Any other info would be appreciated. The hotel we are considering is the MAC/ Sunscape bavaro grand.
