Any place in POP where I can get canning supplies. I am looking for a pressure cooker and jars. I have way too much fruit on the ground going to waste.

Thanks

No, haven't checked anywhere yet. I assumed La Sirena would have some, but I haven't looked yet.

DeepSix ,
Why dont you freeze the fruit - we freeze Bannas - peel them, slice them and put then separated on trays in the freezer - great for smoothies!
You can do much the same with most of the fruit here! A freezer is fantastic!

Would love to do that. I have no power for about 10 hours a day where I am, and not enough batteries yet to keep the fridge and freezer plugged in. Do you do anything special when you freeze them? I have a lot of guanabana, oranges, limes, pineapple, plantanos...

Do check La Sirena they have a lot of cooking supplies. What kind of fruits are you planning on canning?

I found a pressure cooker on Amazon I am going to order. I'll just need the mason jars. I'm also getting a dehydrator, we will see how that goes. I've never canned before.

Will the humidity and heat have any effect on storage?

I would say yes, humidity and heat not good. Too bad about your luz, freezing so much easier.
