Just a positive word for those seeking a very professional, unique, clean and top notch dental experience. Dental Cibao. Others on here mentioned it. I am now 1 month out from the first part of a dental implant. Limited pain, swelling subsided after about 4 days. Was able to travel on plane with no problems.

I put it off for years in the US, because Medicaid does not pay for it and I simply didn't have the money. I also had great fears about it.

In all the years of going to clinics in NYC - Callen Lourde, Mt Sinai - I never once had a dentist give me a panoramic xray? The level of detail at all levels is well worth investigation.

Plenty of excellent posts about Dental Cibao on the board. Use them myself, by far the best in the DR.

My wife and I have done 9 root canals and spent over 2500$ so far in the last 2 weeks and I can honestly say that I have never seen an office as comprehensive and high tech as theirs ANYWHERE, including Miami, San Diego, and L.A.

The high point of their practice is the fact that they have the best of each of their respective fields under one roof, I have never seen a clinic that has done that before. Usually it's one or two dentists who do a bit of each thing and share the workload but at Dental Cibao, the guy that does crowns ONLY does crowns, same with root canals, that is basically all that guy does all day every day. He's the best in the country and drives to STI from SD certain days of the week to work at dental cibao.

For the quality of service the price is extremely reasonable and I can't recommend them enough.

They also provide a 10 year guarantee on all work they do.. I just realize I sound like an ad for them.. lol

I have recently had all on 4 dental implants done for both top and bottom and 20 some odd teeth pulled. I had this done in the US and it is very expensive, $45,000 + . I really had no choice because of a lifetime of dental and periodental problems. After hearing from another poster who had the same thing done for her top teeth only at Dental Cibao the price was not any better having it done in the DR. Additionally, I had all the teeth out and the implants and temporary teeth put in all in the same day. and will have the permanent teeth put in in 3 months time. The time frame is much quicker in the states at the specialist I have gone to in Maryland. If you live in the DR and have to have the work done than it sounds like Dental Cibao is the place to go but for implants I would not go there from the US because I don't think the cost is any better and the timeing requires you to go back and forth a number of times to complete the procedures.

I was quoted around 350,000 DOP for 4 implants and 6 crowns (not by Dental Cibao but as I recall having seen posted on DR1 the prices are more or less what DC charges too).

Which I think it is not the half of what it would cost in Germany. And I've thought the US is even more expensive than Germany regarding dental work?

That sounds like a very good price.

I know at least 10 people that all saved a considerable amount of $$$ by having their implants done in the DR, 4 or 5 of them having the work done at Dental Cibao. Not sure what you mean by going back and forth, you can do one day implants in some cases. Plus they use CEREC at their lab, also a time saver.

Like any dental work, you need to get quoted for your particular case and not base the price and timeline on someone elses mouth :)

I had a space there basically, where a temporary cap/crown had fallen out. the did the surgery and initial phase of the implant in one 2 to 3 hour setting. I paid the first installment of about $700US. Next one in April, after the body aclimates - they place the permanent on it. Or ...in it...

I spent 2 years of off and on appointments to finally have a dentist in training at Callen Lorde clinic tell me that just doing a crown would be a temporary solution of about 2 years. I needed an implant. He referred me in NYC to NYU - Langone, Methodist and Mt. Sinai. None accepted Medicaid, none had payment plans. Langone had no appointments for 4months, Methodist was not accepting appointments at the time and Mt Sinai had 2 month time and wanted $2850. By calculation that is $minimum 1300 + savings and paid in2 installments.
