I've seen mention somewhere about a flying boat base around SF de Macoris in the past but failed to find any further info. Can anyone help out?

Unless I am mistaken, I believe the DR was one of Pan Am's bases in eth Clipper days

Voil?! It was in San Pedro de Macoris, not San Francisco de Macoris (no ocean there...).
