Ra?z de la curcuma. I believe is the Spanish term for Tumeric root.

This is the yellow spice we see in most places, what I am looking for is the root, does anyone know what they call it here (as a root) and where I can buy it?

thx.

Supermercado Nacional and La Sirena have it in both large and small bottles in the spice area.

One time they had it at Bravo about 2 months ago, and like most good things, never again!

The only other place I have found it is at the Vegy/fruit market on Sundays on the Malecon
