If I buy a cheap new or used laptop for under $200 on eBay and have it shipped with its receipt, via Aeropaq, will Aduanas charge tax - saying it is worth over $200 or will they abide by the $200 rule?

Thanks!

No if theres a receipt in the box saying its under 200$ for the total, you wont pay any extra taxes.

That's not strictly true. Even if there's a receipt in the box saying something is worth less than US$200, if the customs people think it's worth more, they can decide what they think it should be worth and tax you accordingly. But if you buy something on eBay, you should be able to argue the point - via Aeropaq - that that was it's market value as you bought it online. The shippers all have good relationships with the aduanas, so it shouldn't be a problem.

They never argue with my "Amazon" receipts.
I use "EPS".
You can get an "Acer Google Chrome", note book for $199 on Amazon all the time.
I have 3 right now.
They work for US.

I use EPS and have shipped laptops and other electronics under $200 and never paid anything but the EPS cost of shipping.
