Dominican Health Risks

Last year, my family was planning a large vacation to the Club Med at Punta Cana, but we learned of a polio outbreak that caused us to change our destination.

We would very much like to go to Punta Cana this coming February, but I want to know of any and all health risks, including the status of polio outbreak from last year.

If you are in the us ..... in comparison.... there are world wide warnings about travel to the usa.

As long as you stay away fron the street girls there is no risk.

Don't travel at all if you've not had polio immunization! If you have, then check with your private physician as to your immunity status & go where ever you like if you're protected. See below for a CDC link for further info...

No matter where you travel in the world there is a risk for any kind of sickness, as long as you have the proper shots and immunizations, and you take precautions you are safe..check with your doctor, they would know what's best, but never be afraid to travel anywhere, life is too short!! massei
