Hello Experts,

I need to purchase a scooter (50cc - 150cc, see links below), preferably used.

The scooter will be used to go to the grocery and ATM when needed.
No excessive travel.

Can anybody help?

Does anyone know of any Scooter Dealer that I can call?

Or better yet a website?

I just want to get to point 'A' and 'B' with out having to pay the ridiculous gringo price.

Any help is appreciated.

If you go to the first La Vega exit off the highway from Santiago and continue into La Vega (don't turn toward Jarabacoa) you will find several large scooter dealers on and along that road into town. Probably the best place to make a deal in your area.

BEFORE you put your life in danger, get some help to find a reliable taxi driver.
They DO EXIST!
People here on DR1 can more than likely recommend someone.
Someone who will charge you a fair price, come when you call, be on time, wait while you shop, etc.Many of us know, and use, drivers like that.
It's nice to know when you need to go to the airport, or the hospital at 3am, someone knows where you live, and will come get you!!!

If you MUST buy, get a Suzuki 110 cc motorcycle, NOT a "Scooter"."Pasola".
They have small wheels, and are less stable than a motorcycle.
