Student searching for information

Hello

I am a student at a high school in Calgary, Canada, and I am wondering if anybody here could help give me information or direct me to a link containing an article (Newspaper or magazine) on native or minority oppression or discrimination in the Dominican Republic. If anybody knows if there has ever been significant events regarding minority or native groups in the Dominican Republic, I would very much like to learn about it.

Any and all replies are very appreciated.
Thanks

Wee, son you got a problem

First of all there is no native population, unless you count the Dominicans themselves, since they are referred to that way by the folks of Samana....that's a joke son.

Second of all, the "minorities" in the Dominican Republic are so economically powerful that no one would dare to try and discriminate. Chinese, Arab, Spanish, American....

Third of all, most discrimination in this country is towards the Haitian immigrant population. (They are our neighbors to the west.)

Try www.listin.com.do for information on that.
For the 1938 or 39 massacre of thousands of Haitians, go to any history of the Dominican Republic.
