Default Nailed With a Tax at the Airport

Ok so I have staying in DR for more than a year at a time and got nailed with a fee when leaving the country - ok no problem...

However this time I arrived Jan 9th and left Feb 9th and was told I had to pay the 800RD because I had been there one month.

I thought you can stay up to 3 months before this happens?

Does anyone know what the truth is?

    1 xtra day cost u 800 pesos

Ok got it - I don't know why I thought it was 3 months. Out of curiosity - what happens at 1 year then?

I am so proud of you son, did it make you feel better to beat the system out of RD5700?
Why not pay what you owe instead of adding to the already broken system?
Did you @ least give him a nice propina or scurry off like a rat that just got free cheese?
