Herrera Airport

I'll be going to RD in December. I will have to fly in from San Juan, Puerto Rico. The flights I'm finding in Yahoo are giving me a choice of the Herrera airport. These flights would be more convenient for me. Does anybody know anything about this airport? How reliable would be AA flights to it? Any info would be appreciated.

Herrera airport is small, but I don't think should be any problem landing there.
