Dick Gregory:

I have to apologize to White Folks for assuming that they thought we all look alike. Barack Obama has been in the White House for 5 years and ain't one of them ran up and called me "Mr. President" yet.

I am constantly mistaken for Michelle. I am ****ed. I just envy her access to designer clothes

Just kidding, but In Europe, I was always told I look like the black person of the moment. When, It was Whoopi Goldberg I was not happy at all. When I had very short hair, every one told me I look like Josephine Baker (even in Cuba !!!) or the girl in Family matters (Steve Urkel show, lol).

It goes both ways. My black spouse is constantly getting us white people confused. He can't tell the difference.

Samuel Jackson is acting like an ahole and not letting the issue die. I guess he is who he has always been.

I used to be told I looked just like Gilligan from the island of that name. But that was years ago. Now I look a lot like Ringo Starr.

So sorry. Peace and love.

I am often mistaken for someone else by black people too. I guess I have a common face, lol. Women asking me if I am related to such and such. Once a woman came and hug me, thinking I was someone else. I have people in my building at work who says hi to me, I am convinced I have never met them too.

IDK. I saw the Jackson interview and I got the distinct impression that he may have been a little high and simply jumped on an opportunity to have a little fun at the expense of the interviewer. These Hollywood types get bored easily and love messing with people with real jobs, given the opportunity. They and TSA agents are perfect for one another.

I was a member of a volunteer group that worked on different types of projects. Every year we had to choose a few people to be recognized. There were a series of Americans that we worked with on different projects. I suggested someone thanks to whom a water project was carried out, and everyone voted and he was approved.

A couple of months later, at an event in another city, I presented a button to this person in public. After that, I noticed that the people from my group who attended seemed upset, but they wouldn?t say anything.

Finally, one of them approached me and asked, "Hey, who was that guy?" And I'm like, "what? but you?ve met him!". I had to explain him when and how they had met and remind him that he had also voted for him, just like the rest of the group. To this, he replied "Well, you know, all those gringos look the same."

It reminded me of the "Funny Guy" scene in Wiseguys.

I think it was all in fun.

Seems like even the actors were really having a good time there, great scene.
