Between 19 and 23 March, a hundred-kilometer marathon between the towns of Puerto Plata, Sos?a, Cabarete and Las Terrenas, Saman? will be held.
The field consists of runners from the home land and abroad. The marathon lasts four days, starting on Wednesday, March 19 in Cabarete with a run of 10 kilometers through the nature reserve. On Thursday, March 20th there is a run of 17.5 kilometers in the nature reserve of Puerto Plata. On Friday, March 21 there is a start in Sos?a and a run of 18 kilometers to the finish in Cabarete. For Saturday, March 22, there is a run of 44.5 kilometers on the schedule and this run will be in Las Terrenas, Saman?. The marathon ends on Sunday, March 23 with a 12-kilometer run through the nature reserve of Las Terrenas.
