I want to take my wife and daughter to TGIF at Acropolis and then to the Mirador Sur park.

Is there any public transportation from Churchill to the park?

I hate the gringo taxis...

not sure but i think a good way is to take the metro bus as close as you can and take a taxi the rest of the way but someone else might have a better opinion on this

You can take a carro public from Acropolis down past 27 de febrero to a couple of streets after the Shell gas station on the corner of Sarasota. That would leave you at the "Avenida de la Salud". From there it should be about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the park.

If you want to splurge Apolo Taxi 809 537 0000

They are very professional and will quote you the rate over the phone and can drop you off anywhere in the park. They will give you the unit number of the taxi they are sending if you ask.

He/she said he didn't like "gringo taxis". That means that the concern here is being overpriced, but there are plenty of taxi companies that he/she could call that he/she wouldn't have that problem with.

odd to go to TGIF which is amazingly overpriced.. and then worry about the extra 100 pesos for a cab vs the fares for 3 on a carro publico. The odds of finding a carro with three spaces empty on Churchill at any time of day are slim to none.

By the way TGIF is remodeling, I'd choose outback over TGIF at the moment, also better priced.
