Diario Libre reports that a child is reported dead after not surviving an attack by pit bull dogs in Las Terrenas, Samana. The mom is seriously injured. The woman worked as house help at a villa of a Frenchman in Las Terrenas where the attack occurred. The woman was injured trying to rescue her three-year old child from the dog attack. The child was identified as Juan Antonio Garcia Alvarado, son of 24-year old Patricia Alvarado, resident in El Limon. The woman is at the intensive care unit of the Dario Contreras Hospital in Santo Domingo. The child died at 9:30am this morning at the Clinica Los Cubanos in Las Terrenas where he was taken with severe injuries. The Police is investigating the case.

Sale of liquor banned on Good Friday

The Ministry of Interior and Police banned the sale of liquor from midnight Thursday, 17 April to midnight on Friday, 18 April (Good Friday).

I know that this breed is a favorite of many.... but...

The surgeon who removes 'things ' from my face regularly is a reconstructive surgeon.
He states emphatically that 90% of his repair cases result from this breed.... faces ripped off, noses gone, bad stuff.

It may be the breed, the breeding or the owner - no matter
Give them a wide berth.
