Patty and Kelly, the managers of the recently (March 17) burned bar restaurant Jolly Roger, are still in discussion with the owner of the property and the insurance company. But they are hopeful that the restaurant can be rebuilt in the same spot and hope to open in mid-August. The blueprint for the new two-storey restaurant is already finished and it looks very promising.
But for now, Patty and Kelly have found a temporary space where they continue doing a number of activities. The Jolly Roger Charity Bingo will be held Tuesday April 29 at the beautiful covered patio (Bourbon Street Grill), in the 'Victoria House' located next to the 'Sos?a Bay Hotel'. The (regular) guests will see familiar faces for all the staff of Jolly Roger will be present as always to serve the guests. The proceeds of the bingo go to the dentists practice of Monkey Jungle this time. Dentists have recently given free dental care to 46 students of the school in Sos?a Abajo.
Patty and Kelly have been offered a lot of help. Like Tom and Tanya (Dogs and Cats of the Dominican Republic) have planned a golf tournament on June 1 at Playa Dorada from witch the proceedings go to the reconstruction of Jolly Roger.
