That is funny.
I had a cat named Mittens, but she was a female. She came with the name. She seemed to prefer it when I called her Kitty.
She was murdered by some bastardly Dobermannish mutts that the Puerto Rican guy down the street let run loose.

No lie, 5:30am "Omgod, oh oh , help" after three "go away, shut ups" I checked her room, water OK, turlet clean, food dish 1/3 full with food sort of "stacked' up the side (jerk does this on purpose I’m certain) with white showing on bottom, poor thing claimed she was starving and on verge of passing out
Talked to a couple people today while working, they both had been owned by cats for a long time, apparently the “food bowl must be full” phenomena is common

I didn't mean to like the part where your cat was killed, that is horrible! Poor lil Mittens :-(
Sad for anyone to lose a pet, but she may have caused the ocassion by boring the "Dobermannish mutts" to rage with useless comments
I had no discussions with the neighbor's dogs. The neighbor has since moved away and his mutts have also left the premises. Mittens was a two tone tuxedo (Sylvester) cat. She liked to stay out on cool nights, and slept in a tree. I guess she was too slow in getting to her tree.
