BTW, of those indicted 17 (Dominicans) were arrested in the DR.

{Thus they hardly were New Yorkers of Dominican descent, who had never set foot to the DR... ;) }

Some hustle schemes are as hilarious as they are terrible! How to people come up with this stuff? And, crazy how much they were able to extort from people with a prank call scam!

A friend of mine she sells "medicine" to American citizens from here, she told me about this more than a half year ago. She also had me listen in on one of those calls, it was pretty hilarious actually. The "client" was scared "$hitless" because she was contactedby the "DEA" and was asked to wire money via Western Union. My friend told her to call the cops.
Soooo many gullible people in this world ;)

Well, I guess it is the awesome ingenuity of DD's (deported Dominicans) educated in US prisons.
Dozens are shuffled back each fortnight.

Same "SCAM" was reported last year in the Miami area.
"Same Scam" different "Dominicanos"!!!!!!
You can't "Claim",.."A Rod" as a "Domincano", but not these guys!
