Can you compare these two cities and which is better and why and what it has best to offer?

In my opinion, Cape Town is way more nicer and richer than SD and they are clean and they got amazing transpotation system. They have awesome waterfront with all resturants, cafes, etc.

Would Santo Domingo can reach same level what Cape Town offers in 5-7 years?

Just a though...

You're joking, right? SD will never, ever be in the same serious sentence with Cape Town.

It's like comparing Apples to washing machines.

Santo Domingo will never have a waterfront like Cape Town.
Just like Santo Domingo could never be a host city for the World Cup, unlike Cape Town.
The culture, motivation to improve, business environment and communities are VERY different.

No you cannot compare those together. Cape town is close to South pole and has penguins on the beaches.. Water is very cold and you have great white sharks swimming there. It has lovely vineyards but also townships where people get killed and raped on a daily basis.. They don't have much of a colonial city center really.

World Cup comparisons are not relevant as that depends on a country being selected as host.. RD can never host a World Cup (also no football culture and no money to bribe FIFA officials and build stadiums).

Every city on this planet is in some way unique. You can compare Santiago and Sto. Domingo easily, Sto Domingo and San Juan with more difficulty, and Santiago and Minsk hardly at all.

Capetown is a most beautiful city ...and has the advantage of being thousands of miles from the northern neighbours that provide unwelcome illegal immigrants..Santo Domingo is a pig sty for more than 90 % of the barrios
