Does anyone have more information about the following:
The local "Armeria" advised that ALL foreigners applying for a gun permit are now required to get a letter from their respected Embassy before they will be issued a gun permit. I do not know if that applies to renewals or just the first time issue.
The "Armeria" did not have additional information on exactly how to go about doing it as the requirement is new to them also. The letter from the Embassy probably needs to be legalized by the Procuraduria General de la Republica.
They keep finding new ways to get people to "visit" the capital, tourism must really be down.
