There is always something new to learn.........

A haitiana friend of my wife's ( new thread to come.....), brought me some "lemoncillo" the other day. Delicious!!!

I had seen them before but thought they were green lemons. U split them open with ure teeth, gobble it up and spit out the stone.
I cant remember seening them back home in europe ( and I use all the weird and wonderful exotic fruits in the restaurant ).

Anyway I am having no luck growing them. Neither from the stone, neither from a branch, neither from a root.....

Anybody out there who has one of thoese trees ?? Or any ideas??

I know that Boricuas and Venezuelans call them quenepas.

Cubans call them mamoncillo.

Here, limoncillo not lemon-cillo:p
