If you happen to be in Cabrera then try the restaurant Manny's on the north end of the Malecon. He speaks English as well as Spanish and the food is great and at a reasonable price. We stayed at the Hotel Nagauey as you come into town and it was 1000 pesos a night and rooms we comfortable, nothing fancy but clean, hot water AC which we didn't need and friendly staff. The tiki bar restaurant had cheap drinks n good Dominican food. Nice little town!
