Quake felt in cabarete

Small but noticeable movement about 11:27am. First I've felt in a while.

It was pretty strong here in Santiago. Building was shaking more than I would like.

Two earthquake threads have been merged. You guys are quick, they were started within 1 minute of one another.

Did not notice, I was driving back form La Sirena,
earthquake or pot holes, not much difference in this country.

I'm in Santiago right now, and I was sitting on the bed about 11:30 this morning and I felt it moving for about 3 seconds.

This is another reason I have decided to rent instead of buy. You never know when the big one is going to hit. We had a small one here in Canada a couple of years ago and our office building was shaking pretty good. I do not want to go through a big one

you can die just as well in a rented apartment, you know. and once you are dead the resale value of a damaged building will be of little importance to you.

Yes I know but I will not be living in DR fulltime so no loss of property for me. If I die I die.
