I'm preparing a questionare for my boss. He will be traveling from Texas to the DR next week. Does the DR have counties, States, Zip codes, etc, and does the DR have anything equal to social security numbers or is it just driver license number.

Thank you in advanced for any help you can give me.

Help - a little

For Dominican Citizens and residents the official ID is the "cedula", which is also used for voting and is issued at 18 by the election authorities. Passports and drivers licenses are also accepted for cashing checks and such, but the cedula number is in the passport and driver's license too.

The country is divided in provinces, each province is sub-divided in municipalities. Last time I remember there were about 31 provinces the current number escapes my memory. A little gerrymander here and there and the country is divided into more provinces than I can keep up with.

We don't have ZIP codes, include full address and it shall be ok.

An example

Hillbilly Hillbilly Cedula # 01-123456-7 (Me and my number)
Calle Juan Pablo Duarte #123 (Street J.P. Duarte)
Apartmento 12
Edificio Sanchez II (The name of the Aprat. building)
Santo Domingo, D.N. (D.N. is like D.C.)
Dominican Republic

this would be a "perfect" address, but most are a little sketchier than this.

But basically, what PIB said....as usual.
