Here is from the DR1 news.. probably means 108 or MORE? Anyway,I could not find the other thread. OPs could merge?

this is really a "capitalism" map.. with the ease of doing business.

Not saying the abysmal ranking of the DR is in any way a good thing. But it is odd that the DR is so close to Argentina, for instance, which always seemed to me to be a much more "developed" country. It is always tricky to figure out just what the makers of the index are measuring.

The US on this one comes third in the world.. and the US now rarely ranks that high on very many charts.

Argentina is a basket case; i had no idea it was in such dire straits. i know the macroeconomic indicators are terrible, but the general performance indices are really terrible.
