Figuring out Fact vs Fiction with Armando/Bobby

First time poster but I really am trying to figure out whats going on in Sosua? I know both Bobby and Armando. and Ive spoken to both of them since they were "deported". The thing that has me completely shaken up is that both of their accounts are pretty much the same. Both were asked to close their businesses and when they refused the were arrested, detained, and "deported" Both of them said that it was not like they were given a choice, it was basically leave right now or else. when I say or else, im not talking about wait it out and let due process take its course, im talking about physical harm. People are painting this picture like they were faced with some type of incriminating evidence and decided to leave. It was leave or there might be some type of "accident" while in custody. Thats whats scares me about all of this. If the Prosecutor is so sure that these guys are doing so much wrong why does he need to resort to these typye of tactics to get these guys out of the country?

You seem to be well connected. Why not ask him so you're not relying on 2nd or 3rd hand information or worse conjecture to satisfy your curiosity?

Good article. It makes me wonder how Peter has escaped deportation. In contrasting the Dominican establishments in places like Santiago with the gringo spots, I wish the author would have given a perspective on the the effect of the internet.

It shows how any foreigner would be nuts to start a bar/restaurant business in Sosua lest your place gets popular with young Dominican ladies. Poof, your gone.

It really was more of a rhetorical question.

Every time I hear "the sky is falling" in and around Sosua nothing has changed. I drive over and the golf course is playable but dry and the chicas have just moved a half a block. Its the same.

You forgot to mention "both" of them were just a guest in a foreign country. I'm still waiting to see
who gets (the option to leave) deported next. Ad or Big Herman?
AS THE WORLD TURNS, I'm guilty as charged.

What happened to Armando was maybe wrong but sooooo right!!!! Dude is a bad man..Everyone knows what he did and the things this creep got away with in his years in Sosua. He is a criminal in a foreign country and does not deserve to have rights.Did his victims have rights? This guy is a bad seed who got away with M..... Literally..This scum took his riches ans got out of dodge while he still could. Thumbs up to the Dominicans for getting rid of the Italian Ladrone

The big question in Sosua now is Willy. He does the same and a lot more in the business than Armando did. He is not only still here but is rumored to become the next Mayor of Sosua. They can't deport him. I guess they can do something else though, if serious enough about this.

Where is the Italian Artist?

.... I know both Bobby and Armando. and Ive spoken to both of them since they were "deported".
This implies that Armando was not put on a plane immediately and thus not deported on Sunday.
Where is he now?
In Sos?a, Miami, Italy or..... ?

So they threatened them and then gave them the option to close their bar/business or leave !? How does that make any sense, if the bars/businesses still open, what is achieved by their deportation.... !?

If it was me wanting their businesses closed, I would ban them from leaving and then threatened them and get them to close their bars. It doesn't sound right somewhere - another angel/motive.... money, where/how, you figure..... !?

Good article. This doesn't touch on others like CubaDave, the little AA dude that was doing porn, and some others that were either deported or made to feel so uncomfortable they left on their own.
