We already reported on January 1, 2012 in Sos?a-News that it seemed as if they wanted to provide the road at the end of the main street Pedro Clisante at the bend of the closed nightclub High Caribbean with a new surface, and the construction of a sewer system. But after some digging the work stopped suddenly. The many rain showers made it impossible to continue the work, according to the contractor. Everything had to be completely dry before they could start paving the road. But then nothing happened for two years.

The road was again full of deep holes and slots and the traffic was dangerous. But a few months ago the most important part received a new asphalt layer, including a crosswalk. This had to happen, because on the left side of the road a brand new police station for the tourist police (Cestur) appeared. A beautiful new police station, with a bad road in front is unimaginable. But maybe they should start paving the side streets too (Calle Holanda, Calle Germania), so everyone could be completely happy.

The road has been surfaced, but only in front of the impressive CESTUR building and a bit leading up to it.
They have also changed the priority at a junction but that just leads to more confusion as it's simply ignored.

Not a very good job and it looks like they were scared away by something and left before finishing..
Sound familiar?
