Doing some preplanning, exploring documentation requirements.

What can be done regarding inheritance of real property when the title is in the wife's name? Case in point is when a spouse dies Dominican law more or less says the property assets are divided 50% to the surviving spouse and 50% is divided among the surviving children.

What can be done if the children do not want to claim any of the inheritance and wish the surviving spouse to receive 100% of the assets?

Children are US born and live there.

Please advise.

Get a Dominican Attorney to sort this out. Better to solve the problem sooner than later, if possible.
