Just sharing this info; I have no affiliation with this company.

But this is a nice short term offer; don't know how long it lasts.

US$50 per standard box (18x18x24) of any weight to most of DR. Price includes all taxes, duty, etc. Also 25 lb bag of rice OR 1 gallon of cooking oil per shipment, too. This shipper is in south and central Florida areas. These are the boxes that are sent by sea from USA TO DR, door to door service. Shipper notifies when they will deliver when shipment arrives. These shippers consolidate boxes, barrels, etc in a container.

PM me if anyone wants contact information for shipper.

Not much of an ?OFFER?, that is one small box!
I pay $75 for a much larger box.
If it's convenient for someone it might work.

Oops. I typed wrong size. It's a standard dishpack 18x18x28!!

Shipping from Central Florida is not very competitive so in my experience prices are higher than from Northeast. Last time I had to pay $80 to Cabarete, so I was pleased when I say this offer on the door of the shipper's office.

The dishpak I refer to is much taller than 18"..... much taller

However, I can agree.... for $10-15, the convenience is more important.

I tried AE's people b/c I had a ton of boxes/items and didn't want to make the trip to NYC..... 5 hrs R/T
well worth my while, the new people , if they work out
AND - they'll pick up from me in PHL

you should put these people in the "Mudanza' Thread

here....http://dr1.com/forums/living/145041-mudanzas-post-your-shipper.html

That mudanza thread is a beauty.... and there are always questions about FL, for some reason

Personally, I might go to FL.... find a Sears Scratch'nDent, and give it to a FL mudanza

or alternatively, buy and ship to the FL guy but w/ free shipping to anywhere in the US ( Sears, Lowe's, Costco, etc) you go to your regular mudanza... I do... he knows the house, etc
