Situation:
A women has had a piece of platinum attached to her head after a bad car accident 12 years ago.
This was done at the "plaza de la salud" in Sto. Dgo.

About 2 weeks ago the women was involved in a motoconcho accident (hit and run) and hit with the head on the roadside ditch and since then suffers from terrible head aches radiating from the platinum.

In "Plaza de la salud" a member of the original team told her that the platinum has to be changed because of deformation or she would go crazy because of the pain.

My question to the local medical experts here:

- Is "plaza de la salud" one of the best places for this kind of surgery today?
- Or would you recommend another place (Sto. Dgo, Santiago, San Pedro)?
- Wouldn't that be a risky surgery? I am not a doctor, but I imagine that after 12 years the metal is surrounded by bones.

Thank you in advance

She obtained another opinion in the new Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago, with same result.
She will have it fixed there next monday.
