I just signed up b/c I saw as interesting thread about Old Families from el Cibao. I have been working on my family tree now for almost a year and this site has helped tremendously. My Father's last name is Diaz and my mother is Jerez.
I find the toughest part of my search is that all the names I knew growing up in La Vega, ie. el Nene, Morena, Chupo, etc...are not the real government names!!! jejeje....it has been exciting reading up on my familia!
