Nello's is the best, hands down and I have tried them all - Calle Jose Tapia Brea - runs parallel to 27th of February about half mile from Churchill running west

Got to the Feria on Malecon, 8 butchers to choose from, all looking to undercut each other as well! Also get your veg and fruit there too.

We even go here from Santiago with a big cool box to purchase their very good meet etc. Owner's name is Erich and his daughter who runs the shop, Carolina. Both German, Spanish and English speaking and very nice people as well.
BTW. I have another tel. nr.: 809 532 2866

Vienna Cariba closed their butcher Store....Now obly buffet style service in the Restaurant (Arroz con Pollo mostly).

Since Erich's death the currenmt owner Carolina through out all employees and does almost not produce any meat anymore.....very limited only and honestly of terrible quality. She transfered the place into a LGBT hangout with warm and overpriced beer. She makes no secret about it that Erichs old customers are not welcome anymore........

If we do a bbq I buy the meat at Chef Pepper (just churrasco and hamburgers). Others say Andres Carnes (Nunez de Caceres next to Nacional) has very good meat and in Charles Sumner there is a new place Meat Store I think it's called.

I was probably one of chef pepper's first customers. Before they had the physical stores and restaurants. Moped delivery of imported beef. I have been to Nellos but most of their meat is domestic. No thanks.
I remember back then the only restaurants with angus beef were David Crocketts, Train steakhouse, asadero argentino and antonios. At least that I knew of back in 98-99.

Now, I buy pretty much all my meat at nacional. Imported angus, skirts, ribeyes, small briskets, picanha, NY strips and ground beef. Not frozen.
They have butchers there that although a bit slow, get the job done. I have ordered up to 13 lb rib eye to smoke in my Bradley Smoker. Prefer that over individual frozen ribeyes from Chef Pepper.
I actually live 3 blocks from chef pepper and rarely go there now. Once in a while we order fajitas or lamb and thei hamburger buns are good.

Recently went to almacen unidos and it looks like they have some potential.

Mauricio... I have never seen a line except Sat mornings... every driver in SD lined up for the weekend meat

Call Zorina, she'll deliver - I get it sent to Cabrera

Rafael, lots of SoAmerican beef.... domestic too, I suppose.

I guess I'll stop promoting it.... back to being a secret...hehehe
I hate giving away my good stuff
