Spending about $2K on advertising/month

We have a free classifieds site (similar to corotos), and we're beginning to spend a little more on advertising. Considering we're advertising a website, we were thinking of spending about $1,500 on banners in Diariolibre.com.

What do you guys think? It would be advertising in a local website.

Money would be better spent on a radio advertisement in my opinion.

I listen to Jos? Guti?rrez more than I check any online newspapers.

google will kill you$ i know... you need a breakout media ....forget billboards....free advt...google will gaggle you with hits no phone calls but a million hits and your bills will knock you over....im still reeling....

i wood look at spending 500$month...open up...get a media geek...do some parties...3 months and spend 5K on booze and dancers and break out live...pass out coupons who is your audience?

sorry for my english ... but ...
I was taught to find the main customer ...
your main client - the owners of local auto shops, parking sales .......
they need to send bulk advertising ...
