About 400,000 USD. Not much by US measures but 60 years of income for the median Dom. He will be earning good income during his jail time and if he lives through that jail time he may enjoy some wealth. For me 400,000 is not worth it. It is sad that he gave up what I consider so valuable (free life) for so little 400k).

Let's see:
400,000 - 100,000 for the judge and the fiscal = out in no time + 300,000 left

Not so bad after all, me thinks.

Somebody once asked me my greatest fear - I replied instantly: being poor.

When I look back on my younger life I have asked myself: what was your greatest risk. It was going to prison.

But, I have avoided both poverty and prison!

I jokingly say that I could have gone to Penn State or the state pen; but it was true!
