Does anyone know about this and is it good to use?

I was thinking to fly to San Juan then borrow a friend van then go to stores such as Best Buy, Wal-Mart etc and purchase bulk stuff then put in the van then go on the cruise and pay all fees as well then go on sailing to Santo Domingo overnight with no hassle, better than ship via box so that way I can watch the stuff myself so I can deliver it to my wifes house in SD.

Any thoughts on this? Suggestions? Comments?

haven't been there yet but I remember seeing vans and trucks filled with stuff offloaded from the PR ferry - BUT they were waiting at Aduanas for customs inspection. So depending on who you know it could cost you a bundle or It could just be a breeze?

Almost every single vehicle that comes off the ferry is loaded to the gills. The vehicles come off the ship into the Customs warehouse yard. Guess what happens there?

It's not handled much different than when you move here, just a lot quicker.

You hand the guy a hundred dollar bill and drive off??
