What are peoples views on what the courts recognise as the definitions. It has only come to mind when going through the Authorization to leave process with a child. Either of the parents can have 'custody', but if the parent leaving does not have outright custody then they in the eyes of the law have guardianship.

I'm just interested at how the court recognizes guardianship of say 2 years. They leave, with authorization, then come back after w years, is this not at some point turned into 'Custody'?

Am I being clear enough? I know none of you will have ball point info and facts, but I'd like opinion on what you think. Frank might know, Aguita maybe, anyone? Opinion? Experience?
