help to identify this vehicle
Two and half Ton troop carrier. Best ever vehicle in the US military. The beast of all beast, proven, tested and never stopped in the Vietnam jungles. Still active on some reserves and national guard units.
The man was right, those vehicles date back to WW1 and WW2. I gave you the name, its best known as the "deuce" for two and half ton.

Military vehicles in the US aren't known by "brand" names rather by lingo. This type earned its name based on the capacity (2 1/2 ton), hence "Deuce," many others are in the same bucket.
Wrong - this is actually a M44
, there are many variances and the M35 is just one of them.

Wrong - this is actually a M44
When you Google the number the M35A2 comes up, no sign of M44.
Because the M35 is a variance, the truck as whole is modeled as M44 (chassis), from there it'll expand to many other models but the base is always M44.
No reason it could not have, they used 6x6's almost everyplace, especially where they "occupied" and area for a time as far as the US "destroying" all equipment?
don't know of any personally but multiple military enthusiasts websites where you could possibly post the model and serial number if available and they probably could tell you every movement that truck ever made while belonging to US military
