Bayahibe to Boca de Yuma trip

We're planning to go to Boca de Yuma this week, so I'd like to know if road is in good condition, i.e., if it's well paved. Locals in Bayahibe told me it's quite good, but just want to double check. If it's like part from Bayahibe to autopista, that's good enough for me.

btw scooter or a car? Thanks!

I can't be too much help but I met a couple where I stayed that headed to Boca de Yuma by taxi one day from Dominicus. It takes about 45 mins. The lady said they enjoyed it very much especially the fish they had for lunch. She never mentioned anything about the road being bad.

Sorry can't be more help but I'd take a car.

The road is absolutely fine all the way. We drove from Bayahibe to Boca de Yuma yesterday, as it happens, for lunch at El Arponero and a visit to La Cueva de Berna.

The road is great for dominican standards.... scooter on the highway? how good is your insurance? rent a tank.....
